Audrey Dilgarde

Biography

Audrey Dilgarde is a behavioral economics researcher based in New York City, where she studies the intersection of gender, psychology, and economic behavior. Her work integrates gender theory, Jungian psychoanalysis, and applied economics to explore how women’s self-concept, ritual practices, and lived experiences shape contemporary consumption. She is pioneering the field of Erotic Capital Economics, an emerging area of research examining the emotional, symbolic, and economic value women generate through beauty, presentation, and personal narrative.


Audrey began her career in investment banking at a global boutique advisory firm before transitioning into research focused on culture, women’s economic agency, and emerging forms of capital. She holds a B.A. in French Literature from Harvard University and is currently pursuing an M.S. in Applied Data Science at the University of San Diego.
